SUBSTITUTES

Necessity is the mother of invention.

On the occasion of the DMY in Berlin, the gallery berlin-weekly starts to show the exhibition 'Substitutes - Necessity is the mother of invention' including a contribution by DING3000.

A bottle opener might be the best known example for an object that is often needed but rarely at hand in the crucial moment. In these situations, the creativity of the seeker decides which substitute is applied.

The exhibition 'Substitutes' curated by Stefanie Seidl and Fabian Baumann will present diverse substitutes of 40 selected designers, artists and architects along with the objects they replace. As a pair they will tell their stories to the viewer.

June 1 to June 28 2011, vernissage June 3 2011, 19 h
